A Book A Day Kept My Boredom Away
Just to wail away slow ticks of every day, I grabbed some books to read. I got some of the Chetan Bhagat books 2 states, 3 mistakes of my life and 5 point someone. Each had its own flavor but literally the style remained same .You can relate yourself at major part since all are real life incidents with some additional commercial flavor in it. The book is vivid and simple to keep you engaged unless you reach the epilogue, that’s why it kept me going I guess.
“2 states “, a vibrant portrait of the Indian linguistic differences, cultural diversity and its shortcomings. Hatred to mingle with different sect of people , preconceived notion about the SouthIndians ,age old cultural values gives a perspective into the attitude of the parents towards their Childs marriage. Protagonist in this book , actually an MBA who handles the problems in style .At times he was surmounted by the pressure of his Mom, lover and work but he displays composure and character at all times .
“3 mistakes of my life “, story that circles around three friends who had their own interests Business, Religion and Cricket. The ruckus story keeps heavy at heart and sustained anger towards the religious attitude of the hidutva. 3 guys approach towards life was sensible and practical .Their commitment towards their own interest had a message internally. The climax had gory ending where they encounter the riot headed by their own uncle ,lost one their friend in the struggle. All this to save a child prodigy who can turn out to be the next Sachin.
My last but not the least “5 point someone “,a tale about the 3 back benchers in IIT where they want to enjoy life to the fullest. They sort to some interesting plans like C2D(cooperate to dominate),operation pendulum ,all that turned out to be a failure. The three friends stand apart like the different axis in space but on the whole they start at the origin which keeps them united. At times you might feel IIT is a place for secluded tech geeks .
In all the above 3 books ,there are similarities in the narration ,use of words and style of writing. Unlike the usual novel where u come across a detailed description of the eventual happenings ,here you find it happening just like a blink of an eye .Some questions might arise in your mind as How did this happened ? how did he do that? What made her to fall in love with the protagonist? Remains unanswered to me.

"5 th Aniiversary -Tsunami"
The Word Tsunami which remained anonymous to Indians, came to limelight just 5 years back. It has been five years since the occurrence of dreadful incident that shook entire world taking the death toll to more than two hundred thousand .Even the word was uttered by Kamal Hassan in anbe sivam but only few could make notice of it, later he went a step further to recreate the effects of Tsunami in the silver screen. The Christmas celebrations still not faded and fervently awaiting for the new year to begin with richness and prosperity ,but it short-lived.
The entire world mourned for the nature’s fury on minnows (humans),though i may skeptical about this but that’s the hard core truth .Still now technology cannot predict the occurrence of earthquake ,we could just measure the intensity as readings taken in the lab experiment. This made serous thinking about the safety requirements and technological developments that we lack in.
On December 26 ,2009 fifth anniversary for those who have lost their loved ones ,recalled those horrifying moments .With the blink of an eye everything vanished ,we could just only watch people dying everywhere. Trauma of the incident may have gone in the minds of the victims but the scars still remains in their heart.
Philanthropist came forward to help those who are stranded ,orphaned and tried to resettle them back to their own place. The contributions made by the entire nation to restructure the lives of the victims symbolized the brotherhood of the nation.
A drop of tear is what I can give to the tsunami victims, “I pray the almighty please forgive us for all the things we have done ,we earthlings can’t bear such ferocity one more time”.

"Right to vote or duty to vote"
This header may sound cynical to most of them, yet its a sound content which reqires in depth analysis. The topic that stirred a debate across all media.Modi's resolution to make voting compulsory in gujarat is a strong move to make voters realise their right .Though democracy cant force anyone to exercise their right but we Indians have the perception of just talking about politics rather participatig in it.
Every year the voting percentage drops drastically, with an average of just 55-60% of population casting their votesin 2009.This has serious implications on the democratic front,With India being the largest democratic country the process of polling is a colossal thing.Few percentage turn over will lead to failure of attaing majority by any nationalist party.
Though there are supporting points as why voters dont turn out for polling ,firstly due to the nonconforming to the ideologies of corrupt politicians, secondly due to the place of work is far from his native. We could attribute many such reasons for not exercising their vote. But what will be the suitable solution to bring people.
You can be a critic but you need to arrive at a better solution before criticising it.By making voting a mandatory thing to all citizens will it interfere with the rights or it is must be viewed as duty of each and every citizen or just a right to vote were some issues to be dealt upon.Implications of drafting it as mandatory thing might vanish in the long run.As the UID project is underway it can be used as a ID to make voters to vote from anypart of india which can effectively draw voters to the polling booths. This might be an ideal solution according to my belief.People who are discontent about the parties must declare their vote as void, can be done with the same UID number through the webpage. This can have reduction in the costs to a greater extent.
For example if 100 % voting was recorded ,and all the nationalist parites could get only the same 55% share of the votes the rest 45% being void would create a serious thinking on the effects of the former ruling party and a pressure on the upcoming parties to perform to expectations of the public. It would pave way for Youths to enter politics ,to uproot corruption and sustain development to be global power in the future. This might be a distant dream but a realistic one.

Telengana -Debacle
The recent developments on the issue of seperating andhra into 2 regions dates back to pre independence era and got intensified when the Gentleman's agreement was failed to adhere to the agreement and guarantees to the people of telengana region. In 1969 the agitation got wide spread over the continuation of the agreement .In 1990 the new legislative forum called TRS (telengana rashtriya samiti )was formed and headed by K.chandrsekara rao.
In 2009 KCR went on to fast unto death for seperate statehood. It continued for 11 days which created pressure for the central government to create a resolution in the parliament .Mr.Chidambaram made this announcement after which he gave up his strike. After 3 days ,KCR made a statement that he is ready to wait till 2014.what a dramatic scenario created by KCR.Again the politicians made a dramatic play to fool the telegana people with no proper agenda.
TRS claim the seperate statehood owing to discrimination of investments and development in the region, but all the investments are made in telengana region only. The capital of Andhra "hyderabad" lies in telengana, with geographical location is ideal for agriculture with 2 rivers flowing through.
With so much riches ,then where does the need for seperate state arises. Its all due to individualistic approach of the wicked politicians.Every party wants to be a part of the shrine namely "CM".The parties have used it as tool fro their self gratification.TDP ,PRP all stand united for undivided state.Another dreadful situation that bloomed was a stir created for separate Gorkhaland,Mayawati asking for seperate state in UP.All these symbolises the politics behind every movement rather than concentrating on the growth or development .

2012 - End of the world or the director??
Independence day is one of my favourite Hollywood movie but 2012 ??
Plot:
In 2009, An Afro American scientist comes to India to meet a friend of his, who says about the destabilization of the earth's crust. The scientist informs this news to the White house chief of staff(white guy) who plays the bad guy as usual. He along with other nations at the G8 summit in 2010 decide on a massive, secret project to build a huge ship in the Himalayas. The president denies to the whole idea and stays with the people and finally perishes (That's our dear Obama). Our hero (John cussack) gets to know abt this huge ship in the making from a mad guy and goes in search of it. Its during this venture to find the ship, he encounters our modern day villains - The huge sky scrapers, the volcanoes and many more. Finally they reach the ship which is stationed at the Himalayas by some weird short cuts. There starts the whole drama, the White house chief of staff along with the scientist and President's daughter enters the ship. The scientist being the good guy wishes to accommodate an even more people and opens the gates to allow the ones waiting to be saved. There comes the twist in our useless plot, a drilling machine (that's what I assumed it as) gets struck between the door's machinery. With the gates open and tsunami striking the ship, there is water and chaos everywhere(The director has tried a titanic effect but failed pathetically) Our hero once again with his son gets ride of another villain, The drilling machine. Doors are intact and the ship now sails happily with the people on board being the only inmates of our earth. And finally the movie ends showing satellite images that Africa being elevated from the sea level is the only place one can thrive and the ships make their journey to the Cape of good hope.
My views.
2012 – For someone who can watch a movie with absolute NO LOGIC. 2012 and Independence Day from the same director?? I am really amazed!!! Pathetic movie is all I can say. Makes me wonder if the director had thought little about the logic which the audience would be expecting. The whole plot had no gripping scenes except our grinning hero, who is in no mood of seriousness when the whole world is in the verge of extinction. The director might have thought showing India in a few scenes might win him the hearts of Indians. The Movie had frequent interventions of sentiments which obviously reduces the pace and flow.Bad Mind Game!! One positive out of this movie - I went along with a huge gang to watch this movie and ended up having a lot of fun.
Rating – Shud I rate it?? My review says it all!!
Waiting for Avatar!!

"My date Of Joining"
For everyone it is a day to celebrate but for me it turned out to be day i deeply regret for happening so late. The things which are not received on time may not be appreciated that applies even to my life.I am totally out of the mindset of programming and i deely loved my management subjects ,i chose not to join Keane.I am totally in the phase of reading and learning new concepts of management.I remembered the lines of frost,
"Two roads diverged in the wood and
i chose the road less travelled by"
I might consider it to be my destiny rather than someone creating my destiny.
After too much of consultation and thinking i came to the conclusion to pursue MBA , i chose what my heart desired but my brain asked me to work.I always believe in the doing things that keeps me lifted and for tat I consider this as a platform to learn.
The decision i made today is a crucial part of my life whether it turns out to be a fruitful one or a bad one ,days will answer those. What ever may be the result I always give my best in the upcoming ventures.
